Our Story

On October 6, 1998 our son Alex was diagnosed with T-Cell A.L.L. (Acute
Lymphoblastic Leukemia). We were obviously devastated. Not knowing what
tomorrow would bring or what to expect for our then two year old little boy.
Night after night for the next three years our lives were transformed
consumed by this experience. However, day after day despite the many
Doctors, Nurses, Needles and Hospitals, our little Alex sat there blessing us
with his beautiful smiles, strength and desire.

Alex is twelve today and living life to the fullest thanks to those many Doctors,
Nurses, Needles and Hospitals. Through the Grace of God and the support
of family and friends we overcame this. We were lucky! We know that if it
weren't for the many Prayers offered to aid us during that time we could not
have made it.

This is our way of saying THANKS to so many of you who supported us.

Matthew Fackler

This being our first annual "Angels on the Pitch" 3v3 tournament we are
pleased to announce Matthew Fackler as our first ever
"Tournament Champion".
Matthew is a Sophomore at Bishop Dwenger HS in Fort Wayne, Indiana and
received a bone marrow transplant on January 24, 2008. Matthew was first
diagnosed with A.L.L. in 2000 relapsed in 2004 and then again in 2007. His
story has truly inspired us and his strength is unwavering.

In honor of Matthew and his family we will be holding a raffle at the
tournament in which they will receive 100% of the proceeds.

Please keep Matthew and his family in your Prayers and join us in helping
him overcome this fight!
